Hip Stem Cell Recovery: Your Week-By-Week Plan.
Hips carry you through every step, every stair and every time you get in and out of a car. Most people want their hip back for something specific: walking the dog, a round of golf, getting down on the floor with the grandkids.
This page covers the whole hip recovery: when walking, stairs, squats, running and rotation sports come back, what’s normal along the way, and the mistakes that set hips back.

Hip Stem Cell Recovery Time: Plan On Six Months
Hips follow the same six phases as every program. Here’s what each phase usually means for a hip. Your plan sets the exact dates.
Resting
Walking for daily life. No deep bending, no crossing the leg under load, no impact.
Getting moving again
Bending, rotation and stretching return gently. Walking builds gradually. No weights, nothing forced.
Waking up the muscles
Waking up the buttock and deep hip muscles that protect the joint. Light resistance bands come in.
Back to your routine
Back into a real routine. More repetitions first, heavier weight later. Squats, step-ups and lunges become regular.
Building strength
Leg exercises with weights return. First jogging, if jogging is your goal.
Back to what you love
Golf, tennis, hiking and whatever else you’ve been missing. Six-month review.
Every phase opens that phase’s articles and videos in the Recovery Library. See the full recovery timeline.

Is this normal?
Is Hip Pain After The Stem Cell Injection Normal?
Soreness and stiffness in the first days after a hip injection are common. Many people feel it most when getting up from a chair or out of the car.
What matters is the direction. Settling over days is a good sign. Pain that keeps climbing, or comes with swelling, heat or fever, needs a call to the doctor who did your injection.
What to avoid
Three Mistakes That Set Hips Back
Long walks or hikes because it feels good at week three.
Walking builds gradually, and hips flare when you add too much at once.
Skipping the hip muscles.
Weak hip and buttock muscles put the strain straight on the joint. They have to be rebuilt on purpose.
Going back to golf on a date.
Rotation under speed is one of the last things to return, not one of the first.
