Shoulder Stem Cell Recovery: Your Week-By-Week Plan.
Shoulders are tricky after an injection because you use them for everything: getting dressed, driving, reaching into a cupboard. It’s easy to overload one without noticing, and hard to protect it without a plan.
This page covers the whole shoulder recovery: when reaching, lifting and overhead work come back, what’s normal along the way, and the mistakes that set shoulders back.

Shoulder Stem Cell Recovery Time: Plan On Six Months
Shoulders follow the same six phases as every program. Here’s what each phase usually means for a shoulder. Your plan sets the exact dates.
Resting
Light daily use at your side. No lifting, no overhead reaching, no sleeping on that side if it hurts.
Getting moving again
Range comes back gently: reaching forward, out to the side, then overhead. No weights, nothing forced.
Waking up the muscles
Waking up the small muscles that hold the shoulder in place. Light resistance bands come in.
Back to your routine
Back into a real routine: light pushing and pulling. More repetitions first, heavier weight later.
Building strength
Weights return, including lifting overhead once you’re cleared.
Back to what you love
Throwing, swimming, racquet sports and whatever else you’ve been missing. Six-month review.
Every phase opens that phase’s articles and videos in the Recovery Library. See the full recovery timeline.

Is this normal?
Is Shoulder Pain After The Stem Cell Injection Normal?
Soreness and stiffness in the first days after a shoulder injection are common. Many people notice it most at night, or when they reach behind their back.
What matters is the direction. Settling over days is a good sign. Pain that keeps climbing, or comes with swelling, heat or fever, needs a call to the doctor who did your injection.
What to avoid
Three Mistakes That Set Shoulders Back
Reaching overhead or lifting early because it feels fine.
Week three is when shoulders feel best and are most easily set back.
Skipping the small muscles.
The rotator cuff and shoulder-blade muscles keep the joint centred. Big lifts don’t rebuild them.
Letting the other arm do everything.
Protecting it is right early on. Avoiding it for months costs you range and strength.
