What you’ll walk away with
Three Things You’ll Get Out Of The Ninety Minutes
Plain English, real cases, and time at the end for your question about your joint.
An honest read on where you are
The six phases of a post-injection recovery, what belongs in each one, and how to work out which phase your joint is actually in — which is rarely the one the calendar says.
What a flare-up is telling you
Flare-ups are information about load, not evidence the injection failed. You’ll learn how to read one, what to change that week, and what not to do.
Something to do on Friday
You’ll leave with the clearance framework we give our own clients — green, yellow and red — so you know what you’re cleared to do before the next session.
Live only. No recording goes out afterwards.
These classes get conversational fast — people describe their own joints, ask what they were afraid to ask their surgeon, and we work through real recoveries out loud. Nothing from that room goes out afterwards, so there’s no replay link. If you want this, you’ll want to be on the call.
Sound familiar?
Come If Any Of This Is You
Most people on the call are in their forties, fifties and sixties. Golfers, hikers, lifters, parents and grandparents who spent real money on a procedure and were then left to work the rest out alone.
- You had the injection weeks or months ago and nobody gave you a plan for afterwards.
- You were told to rest, and you are no longer sure how long “rest” was supposed to last.
- You flared up once, got frightened, and have been backing off ever since.
- You are around month three and quietly wondering whether it worked at all.
- Your physical therapist has never managed a post-injection recovery before.
- You want to get back to something specific — a round of golf, a deadlift, a night’s sleep on that side.
Why nothing has moved it
You’ve Probably Already Tried Most Of This
None of it was careless. It just was not aimed at the thing that decides the result.
Resting it out
Waiting for the pain to disappear before moving. Twelve weeks pass, the joint is quieter, and the strength that protects it is gone. The cells had nothing to organise around.
Going back to the old routine
Same program, same loads as before the procedure, because nobody wrote you a different one. The tissue is not the tissue you had last year.
Generic physical therapy
There is no certification for post-injection recovery. A good therapist who has never managed one will run a standard protocol on a joint that is not standard.
YouTube and Facebook groups
Advice from people whose procedure, joint and timeline are nothing like yours — delivered with total confidence.
Waiting to see how it feels
Pain is a lagging indicator. By the time a joint feels ready, you have usually already lost weeks you did not need to lose.
What we’ll cover
The Five Things We Go Through
Ninety minutes, five pieces, then open Q&A for as long as people have questions.
1. What the injection actually did
What happens in the first few weeks, why the procedure is only the start of the job, and why the cells need a specific sequence of load to build around. This is the part almost nobody is told.
2. The six phases, in order
Resting, getting moving again, waking up the muscles, back to your routine, building strength, and back to what you love. What belongs in each, roughly how long each takes, and why the order never changes even when the dates do.
3. The clearance system
Green, yellow and red. How we decide what you are cleared to do this week, and how a movement earns its way from one lane to the next. Clients tell us they would pay for this part on its own.
4. Flare-ups, and what they mean
The three most common causes, what to change in the week that follows, and why treating one as failure is what turns a good procedure into a disappointing result.
5. Is it too late?
What is still available at four months, at eight months, and past a year. Sometimes the honest answer is that the window has closed, and you will hear that too.
We also work through two real recoveries from the clinic — including one where the right call was to send the person back to their physician.
What’s at stake
Nobody Gives This Up All At Once
You quietly stop doing one thing, then another. This is not about frightening you — it is about being honest that earlier is an easier road back.
The money already spent
Fifteen to thirty thousand dollars of procedure, and a recovery left to guesswork. The injection cannot do the second half of the job on its own.
The window
The six months after the procedure are when the tissue is most responsive to load. That window does not reopen because you were not told about it.
The thing you gave up
The round of golf, the hike, sleeping on that side. Most people stop mentioning it long before they stop missing it.

Who’s Teaching This

Dr. Chris Garcia, PT, DPT, SCS, CSCS
Founder · Stem Cell Recovery Experts
San Diego’s first and only residency-trained Sports Clinical Specialist. Doctor of Physical Therapy from Washington University in St. Louis, an elite sports residency at The Ohio State University, advanced training with Dr. Shirley Sahrmann, and three years as a physical therapist at the U.S. Olympic Training Center.
He has been rehabilitating people after regenerative procedures since 2008 — starting with cartilage transplants, before anyone was saying “stem cell” out loud. Olympic athletes, UFC, professional tennis, NFL Combine training. All of them came back from a procedure asking the question you are asking now.
He owns Sports Performance Physical Therapy, teaches as adjunct faculty at San Diego State, hosts The Stem Cell Recovery Podcast, and writes these recovery programs himself.
Why clients choose us
What’s Different Here
We don’t do the injections
Wherever you had yours, we handle everything that happens after it.
A specialist, not a generalist
A board-certified sports physical therapist who has managed post-injection recoveries specifically, not as the occasional case.
A written plan, not a visit list
You see all six phases on day one, including the part you have not earned yet.
Clearance answered in advance
Green, yellow and red means you never have to guess between sessions.
Anywhere, or in person
Clients run this from Texas, Ontario and Dubai. Two clinics in San Diego for the people who can get to one.
We will tell you if it is too late
When the honest answer is that the window has closed, you hear that instead of a plan you do not need.

We Keep The Room Small On Purpose
Twenty people means everyone with a question gets it answered, and anyone who wants their own recovery looked at can raise it. It also means seats go, and it is strictly first come, first seated.

Common questions
Before You Register
Will I get a recording afterwards?
No. There is no replay and no link sent later. The class is conversational — people talk about their own joints and we work through real recoveries in the room — so nothing from it goes out afterwards. If you want it, come and sit on the call.
Do you perform the stem cell injections?
No. We are a physical therapy and regenerative therapy practice. Almost every client had their procedure somewhere else — often out of state or overseas — and came to us for the recovery. Your injecting physician is not a competitor of ours; they are where most of our clients come from.
I had my injection months ago. Is it worth attending?
Usually yes. What is still available changes depending on how far out you are and what has happened since, and that is one of the five things we cover. If your window really has closed, you will hear that honestly rather than be sold a plan.
I have not had an injection yet. Should I come?
Yes, and arguably you are the best person in the room. Knowing what the six months afterwards demand of you before you book the procedure changes how you plan it.
Is this a class or a sales presentation?
It is a class. Ninety minutes of teaching, real cases and open Q&A. At the end we explain what working with us looks like and offer a way to get assessed, because some people on the call will want that. Nobody is pressured, and if the honest answer for your joint is something else, you will hear that instead.
Do I need to be in San Diego?
No. The class is online and most of the people on it are not local. We have clients running their programs from Texas, Ontario and Dubai.
What do I need to join?
A device with a browser and somewhere quiet to sit for ninety minutes. We email the link and a calendar invite as soon as you register, and again on the morning of the class.
